Luis Fonsi, the creator of the hit “Despacito,” released “Vida”, a new album
Luis Fonsi, the winner of 5 Latin Grammy awards and producer of the smashing hit "Despacito," releases the album "Vida", a material that marks the musical evolution and, why not, the personal portrait of the famous Portuguese artist.
"Vida" is released a week after the release of "Sola", available in two edits (English and Spanish). With "Sola", Fonsi is seeking to get back to the origins, wanting to show the world that he is not just a hit maker but also a true storyteller. Single "Sola" is a sensible and honest material that follows the narrative of a complicated love story, a love fueled by hope and sustained by the power of imagination.
Luis Fonsi is one of the most popular artists in the music industry, managing to bring the latino genre the highest degree of international attention and fame. With hits such as "Echame La Culpa" ft. Demi Lovato (who was Number 1 in 59 countries), "Calypso" ft. Stefflon Don and "Imposible" ft. Ozuna (his most recent single) is just a matter of time until he will take over the tops on their highest places.
The "Despacito" hit has managed to establish a series of hard-to-see records, also recognized by Guinness World Records.
Regarding the title "Vida," Fonsi stated he chose it because the album is kind of an X-ray of his life.
"These songs come from very honest, real places. Many have to do with me, many don't. But I felt that my life is there, in each song," said Fonsi, remembering himself running between the recording studio to his house to other professional commitments while his wife was pregnant, Rocco was born and starting to grow.
"That life, that excitement, that love that you feel as a father for a child, the purest and intense form of love - it's impossible not to reflect that in my music, in the way I communicate. 'Vida' is all that. It's my life."
